Having worked with Held by Trees a number of times, Held by Trees were recording their second album at Peter Gabriels Realworld Studios in Box in Wiltshire. I captured live recordings and BTS photography as well as video.

It was a real pleasure to meet Labour Candidates from Bournemouth, Plymouth, East Worthing and Shoreham and Somerset and capture them in multiple environments and hearing what they had to say to their community, in the hope that they may be voted in and become a full time politician. It really opened my eyes to how much hard work they do and in the candidacy phase how much it’s about what they want to achieve for their community if elected. Candidates included, Jessica Toale, the amazingly named Peran Moon, Fred Thomas, Jayne Kirkham, and Tom Rutland.

I have been working with Appello for many years with all kinds of photography from products to staff portraits and head shots to staged and natural photographs at managed apartments where a number of their customers live and use their products. This particular managed apartments was in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

I have known Dave Griffiths and his band Held by Trees for a long time. They had a home town gig in Bournemouth, Dorset with artist Martin Smith that I videoed for a live music video as well as live photography.
